WP5 will coordinate the exchange of experts from different groups within the two fields, for on-site training of the groups. This is a critical part of the program, and is intended to involve experts from one field (e.g. thermodynamics) in experiments conducted by experts from the second field (e.g. atomistic structure analysis by advanced transmission electron microscopy). This will provide for expanded communication between the fields towards the goal of bridging the gap between interface thermodynamics and interface structure and chemistry. Young scientists will also be included and given the opportunity to work within the respective groups, as well as interested members from European industry.
